About the Gallery Shop

We are a group of about 50 artists and craftspersons all living and working in Central Pennsylvania.

We have been in business for 29 years. The first 10 we were a part of the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania. We are now independent, but we have a close working relationship with the Art Alliance.

Our mission is to serve two communities:

  1. The General Community:
To sell original art and craft work from Central Pennsylvania to our customers. And, to educate our customers about the techniques used in the many different works.
  2. The Artist Community:
To provide an outlet for practicing studio artists who live and work in Central Pennsylvania.

John Strother: Painting

Kim Filkins Kim Filkins has been a fused glass artist for 30 years. Her work is always evolving and is often inspired by nature, her travels and love of glass. Her fused glass table and wall pieces are created with many glass elements - iridized, dichroic, cathedrals , opaque sheet glass and incorporating frit and stringers. These different elements are placed in a kiln and fired at varying temperatures to give her work dimension and texture. She’s also combined glass with wood slabs to create clocks and base stands. Creating with glass has always been exciting and enjoyable, as the glass reacts differently with each firing and design. John Strother John Strother will be showing two and three dimensional wall mounted abstract compositions. The Artworks use color, texture and form to define visual complexities and relationships in the overall compositional palette.
